Here are some of the promised older vids. This is from when Mom, Dad, and Grammy came and visited. Some of the footage is from the Science Museum and some is from the actual Falls part of Sioux Falls. Enjoy!
This was a really cool sand thingy that was at the museum. A magnet underneath the table guided the ball, which made patterns in the sand. Kinda noisy and it looks like crap on my camera but still a neat idea.
This is a bee tube. Thingy. Um, indoor beehive? I dunno. Anywho, there was a tube that led from outside to the hive on the inside. Where all the little bees were gettin' busy. Wonder what the museum does with the honey?
This is Dad doing what Dad does best... playing the piano. And, I might point out, it's the perfect piano for stickbugs, because you have to have ginormously long legs to even hit an octave.
The actual Falls part of Sioux Falls. And some geese.

More on cats and confused weather
So it's 38 degrees right now, almost a sunshiney-type day (if you discount the random cloud cover). It's a tad blowy and it rained last night. BUT! The weather has decided that it wants to drop snow on us.
It's real fluffy snow and it melts as soon as it hits the ground, but it's snow all the same. The day before Halloween, nonetheless. Aye, me.
And here's some more...

Some of our nuttier neighbors...
We're hoping little squirrels will come from this. It's late in the year for babies... but horny squirrels don't care about those kinds of things.
Also, ignore the rumblings of conversation in the background. That's pops on the phone.
Also, the cats have the year broken up into four seasons: Muddy Bunny season (spring), Invasion of the Ladybugs and Winkybutts (summer), Electric Blanket Time (fall), and Fun With Shiny Balls! (winter). Abbi is very glad that it's Electric Blanket Time.

Snarkette on the lumps
Monday, October 12, 2009
Out my bedroom window yesterday morning after I came home from work. It only snowed a little, then melted off, then it snowed again last night and hasn't stopped. It's the really light, fluffy snow that you really can't get upset about because it's just so fun to walk in. No wind, no ice (yet), and the snow plows haven't turned it to slush yet.
It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas... and we haven't even done Halloween or Thanksgiving yet.

Greetings from snow covered Soo Foo!
I keep intending to put my pictures up on MySpace and/or Facebook and then never get around to it. So I thinks to myself, I says, "Nutmeg, you spend all your time on Blogger anyway, why not just post all that shitaki there?"
So I am.
Here's a picture to get you started:

I have quite the backlog of pics to go through, so give me time.
As always, love and hugs,
The Baby Nutmeg
